Opportunities for Advancement

Advancement at Salon Agape` is based on your skills and performance. Requirements are clearly spelled out for each level and reviews are conducted quarterly to discuss your progress.

Continuing Educational Opportunities

We have in-salon classes taught by our salon coaches for all designers, as well as periodic in-salon classes taught by Aveda educators for all team members.

Staff members are given an allowance for off-site education that includes:

  • $200 – $300 per year for all full time team members
  • $100 – $150 per year for all part time team members

 

New Talent Training – Hair Designers 

Our assistant’s program is supervised by our New Talent Director with emphasis on performing actual services on models. Consultation skills are also emphasized. These classes fulfill the requirements needed to become a Salon Agape’ Designer. Our program is designed with clearly defined requirements so that you can track your progress and work toward getting on the floor. The length of time is variable but is usually 6 months to 1 year. You will be mentored during your training by our senior designers and will work directly under them until you are completely comfortable performing services for our guests.

New Talent Training – Nail Specialists, Estheticians, Massage Therapists

This training is supervised by a senior spa team member and covers performance of all Aveda exclusive treatments as well as guest consultation and retail sales. You will be mentored during your training and will work under supervision until you are completely comfortable performing services for our guests.

Duties – Hair Design Assistants

Assistants duties include, shampooing, hand massages, chair massages, greeting guests, salon tours for new guests, laundry, sweeping and general cleaning.

Hourly Pay

Pay varies by level. 35 hours is considered full time.

Paid Vacation

Full time team members enjoy:

  • 1 week paid vacation after one year, and 2 weeks vacation after 3 years
  • Paid holidays include New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas
